Andre Carter has been a starter at Cal since he was a freshman. Now his career moves to the NFL. Carter has been compared to last years first overall pick Courtney Brown. He is a great speed rusher off the edge. He seems like he is always in the opponents backfield. A great athlete, Carter is also good at getting up and batting down passes. His weight (265 lbs.) is a concern to some but Carter doesn't seem to ever get overpowered. That is because he is dedicated to the weight room and is very strong. That strength allows him to hold up against the run. He hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves due to the Golden Bears lack of winning and TV time but scouts and GMs know who he is. He is thought by some to be the best Defensive End, maybe the best defensive player in this draft. Could go in the top five, shouldn't slide out of the top 10.
