1st Round - 13th Overall
MARCUS STROUD - DT - Georgia   --   6'6 - 321 - 5.0

A bit of a reach espeically with good O-Linemen available but the Jaguars felt that the Defensive line was the bigger need. If motivated, Stroud could be a steal, if not he could be a bust. There's a risk here.

2nd Round - 43rd Overall
MAURICE WILLIAMS - OT - Michigan   --   6'5 - 300 - 5.3

After passing on some Tackles for Stroud in the 1st Round, The Jags get a nice pick up here with Mo Williams. Williams has tremendous upside and plays Right Tackle where Jacksonville lost Leon Searcy.

3rd Round - 73rd Overall
ERIC WESTMORELAND - LB - Tennessee

Westmoreland was underrated going into the draft, so this was a pretty nice pick. The Jags are in need of Linebacker help and Westmoreland's speed will enable to contribute.

3rd Round - 94th Overall
JAMES BOYD - S - Penn State

Another position of need. Boyd could be groomed to eventually replace Carnell Lake. He is a good player with decent size and speed, but there were a few other safeties on the board (Hakim Akbar).

5th Round - 142nd Overall
DAVID LEAVERTON - P - Tennessee
6th Round - 170th Overall
CHAD WARD - G - Washington
7th Round - 213th Overall
ANTHONY DENMAN - LB - Notre Dame
7th Round - 233rd Overall
MARLON McCREE - S - Kentucky
7th Round - 235th Overall
RICHMOND FLOWERS - WR - Tennessee-Chattanooga
7th Round - 241st Overall
RANDY CHEVRIER - DT - McGill

R.Jay Soward
1st Rounder R.Jay Soward had problems catching the ball and then had problems with the law. He's going to have to make a big turn around this year to avoid being cut. LB TJ Slaughter was a pleasant surprise and could end up solving some of Jacksonville's LB problems. CB Kiwuakee Thomas was a favorite of the coaches and was great on special teams but will play more at corner this year. Thomas could push for a starting job. LB Danny Clark was a nice special teams player as well. RB Shyrone Stith returned kicks but with Tavian Banks' injury troubles, Stith could emerge as Fred Taylor's backup this season. OT Joey Chutz may have a shot at RT.
