2.CARSON PALMER - Senior - USC

A prospect only. He needs to make more progress on the field to justify these high rankings. 

3.BYRON LEFTWICH - Junior - Marshall 
6'5  215  4.7 
Could really mak a move. He's big and is playing well in a pass friendly system. Has great potential. 

4.DAVID GERRARD - Senior - East Carolina 
6'3  235  4.65 
Throws well and runs like a Fullback. Has great physical tools and is gaining more helpful experience with each game. 

5.JOEY HARRINGTON - Senior - Oregon 
6'3  215  4.8

A big guy who is mobile. Throws the ball well and is cool under pressure. If he stays healthy, he'll move up the rankings. 

GEORGE GODSEY - Senior - Georgia Tech

Came out of nowhere to have a fabulous Junior year. If he can come back from an injury, Godsey will be a Heisman candidate. 

KURT KITTNER - Senior - Illinois 
6'3  205  4.8 
A Drew Brees-like passer who isn't big or strong but throws a nice ball. Good intangibles. 

WOODROW DANTZLER - Senior - Clemson 
5'11  200  4.5 
Small but very fast and elusive. Can throw the ball pretty well but his size could prompt a position switch in the NFL. 

DAVID CARR - Senior - Fresno State 
6'3  200  4.75 
Not well known but puts up nice numbers and has a good feel for the passing game. Just not a great athlete. 
 
RONALD CURRY - Senior - North Carolina 
6'2  200  4.5 
A great athlete who also stars in basketball. Has the tools but is just beginning to find himself as a passer. 

WAYNE MADKIN - Senior - Mississippi State 
6'4  220  4.65 
Madkin isn't well known but he has great size and mobility. His passing needs some refinement but the tools are there.
LSU's talented but oft injured QB Rohan Davey.
 

 
Woody Dantzler has dangerous running skills but not quite the size that the NFL looks for.

Wayne Madkin is a tough, strong QB who needs work on accuracy.
