2002 WIDE RECEIVER PROSPECTS

1.ANDRE DAVIS - Virgina Tech - Senior
6'1 - 200 - 4.29
Could have left with Vick but went back to school. The best long ball threat in College Football. Great speed. An excellent return man as well. Will have to show that he's not one dimensional and catch more shorter routes.
2.RON JOHNSON - Minnesota - Senior
6'3 - 215 - 4.49
Would be the top guy if that forty time was a little lower. A big reliable target with great strength, Johnson looks like a first round lock and it's very possible he will fall in the top 10.
3.MARQUISE WALKER - Michigan - Senior
6'3 - 205 - 4.45
One of the more underrated players becuase he was in David Terrell's shadow. Walker is big with very sure hands. He makes tough grabs in traffic and is every bit as good if not as flashy as Terrell.
4.ANTONIO BRYANT - Pittsburgh - Junior
6'2 - 180 - 4.45
Bryant really should be at the top of this list but off the field problems have hurt his standing. For as polished and mature as he is on the field, he has a lot to learn off it. Still, a polished product with the talent to be a top 5 pick.
5.KELLY CAMPBELL - Georgia Tech - Senior
5'11 - 170 - 4.35
A smaller, quicker target. Campbell has been in many top 15 lists. His size is really the only concern. His speed and gamebreaking ability are excellent and he has a knack for making the spectacular catch.
6.JABAR GAFFNEY - Florida - Sophomore (3rd Year)
6'0 - 180 - 4.4
Gaffney is a talented youngster who would be smart to stay for at least another year. He could use another year under Steve Spurrier to become more polished and NFL ready.
7.LEE MAYS - UTEP - Senior
6'3 - 190 - 4.4
Mays is probably the best athlete among this group of receivers. His size and speed along with great leaping ability make him a great prospect. He has lots to learn about the game but could be a 1st Rounder on athleticism
8.BRIAN POLI-DIXON - UCLA - Senior
6'5 - 210 - 4.55
Great size. A long strider who makes tough catches. Doesn't have great speed but seems to separate well enough. With Freddie Mitchell gone, he's the guy. Late 1st Round possibility with a good year.
9.TERRANCE EDWARDS - Georgia - Junior
6'0 - 185 - 4.4
Edwards is an extremely versatile player. He has speed and elusiveness in the open field. He can throw as well making him a triple threat on every play. He looks headed for the big time.
10.FREDDIE MILONS - Alabama - Senior
5'11 - 190 - 4.4
Was thought of to be a certain 1st Rounder until he (as well as his team) had a horrible 2000 season. Milons is still a versatile threat and if he regains his form he could move a long way up.

UNDERRATED
JOSH REED - LSU - Junior
5'11 - 195 - 4.5
A converted Running Back, Reed has proven to be very reliable. He has shown good hands and nice running after the catch ability. He looks like he could be a great NFL slot receiver.

SLEEPER
MICHAEL HAYES - Southern - Junior
6'5 - 210 - 4.55
He's a rather unknown prospect but he torched 1st Rounder Rashard Anderson when he was only a sophomore. Hayes' size is his biggest advantage. He has a chance to put himself on the map with a good year.
