CLASS OF 2006
The top High School seniors.
1.MATT GUITIERREZ - QB
When you're from De La Salle (Concord,
CA) you've always got eyes on you. This year the 6'5 Guitierrez will try
to lead them to their third straight title behind his arm.
2.MARCO MARTIN - DT
He's 6'6 and 290 Lbs. yet somehow
he has reportedly run a 4.6 forty. An incredible physical speciman who
might be the best prep player in the country.
3.GERALD RIGGS Jr. - RB
His dad played for both the Falcons
and the Redskins and now he looks to follow in daddy's footsteps. A big
(6'0, 200) runner with good speed (4.45). An elite prospect.
4.BRIAN PICKRYLL - DE
At 6'6, 230, Pickryll can still
run a 4.5 forty. He's the best pass rusher in the country on one of the
best teams in the country (Jenks, OK).
5.JUSTIN ZWICK - QB
A classic dropback passer with
a live arm. The object of many school's affections, Zwick is right now
favoring Michigan.
6.CIATRICK FASON - RB
An early commitment to Florida.
The 6'1, 220 Lb Faison is looking to take the prep rushing crown away from
Gerald Riggs Jr.
7.MARCUS VICK - QB
Yes he is Michael's brother and
Aaron Brooks' cousin. The 6'1 Vick has the speed and playmaking ability
that is making his brother millions in the NFL.
8.QUINN PITCOCK - DT
Amazing quickness for such a big
guy. Is definitely at the top of an elite class of Defensive Tackles.
9.MANUEL WRIGHT - DT
An elite player on an elite team
(Long Beach Poly). Huge (6'4, 300) and is a great athlete who is learning
to play the game.
10.VINCENT YOUNG - QB
A big time prospect. He's 6'5
with the mobility of Donovan McNabb and a rifle for an arm. Looks to continue
the new trend in QBs.
11.CARL TABB - WR
He's 6'3 and he's also a great
athlete. May be the top prospect in Michigan this year.
12.MERCI FALAISE - OT
Absolutely huge and agile. Every
thing you'd want in a lineman.
13.L'TYDRICK RILEY - QB/DB
6'4, 200, 4.45 that may be all
that needs to be said but throw in Riley's strong arm and you have a top
flight QB prospect. But add in his coverage skills and he's a great safety.
14.DEREK LANDRI - OL
A mauler for De La Salle (see
Matt Guitierrez), and looks to continue the Spartan tradition.
15.MARCEDES LEWIS - TE
Another prospect off of Long Beach
Poly (Herschel Dennis, Manuel Wright) and Lewis could be the best by season's
end. A great receiver with outstanding athletic skills.
16.BRIAN CLAHOUN - RB
Can fly. Runs a 4.3 forty. One
of the top breakaway threats in the country.
17.BERKLEY HUTCHINSON - LB
He's an excellent QB and an excellent
LB. No matter what position he ultimately chooses, expect him to be suceesful.
18.JUSTIN BLALOCK - OG
A team leader and a great blocker.
19.MIKE KUDLA - LB
One of the strongest players (not
just Prep) in the country. Kudla benches 500 Lbs.
20.JASON ALLEN - RB
He's big and fast. Can run around
people or through people.
21.TORRIN CHARLES - LB
The state of Florida produces
great talent every year and Charles is the next one. He's one of the hardest
hitters in the country.
22.REGGIE McNEAL - QB
An exceptional athlete who can
run and pass. One of the top QB's in Texas which is a great state for QBs
this year.
23.MIKE D'ANDREA - LB
A grea inside run stuffer who
sould really move up the rankings with another great year.
24.MARVIN BYRDSONG - LB
An explosive hitter who plays
sideline to sideline.
25.DOMINIC DIXON - DB
A shutdown type DB with great
size and speed, an elite athlete.
26.REGGIE CRIBBS - LB
A speedy but smaller Linebacker.
Cribbs plays sideline to sideline.
27.TIM VOLK - DE
Another great DE from Sherman
Oaks, CA (see Travis Johnson), Volk has great pass rush skills and is developing
the strength to hold up against the run.
28.HERSCHEL DENNIS - RB
Gets to run behind a great line.
Has great speed and moves on the outside. Not much of an inside runner.
29.WILLIAM COOPER - CB
Flint Northern is a basketball
school but the 6'1, 180 Lb Cooper could help put the football team on the
map as well.
30.CHASE PRESSLEY - DT
Another great DT in this class,
and Pressley may be the best pure pass rusher of them all.
31.KENDRIC GOLDSTON - DT
Another great DT, Goldston has
NFL written all over him. He has the great speed to track down plays from
his DT spot.
